Obituary

Mrs. Yolanda Michelle Smith Anthony was born on September 17, 1973 to Debora Nichols Hardimon and Calvin Smith, Sr. in Little Rock, Arkansas. She departed from her Earthly life at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 13, 2021.

She attended Stuttgart Public Schools and was a member of the Class of 1992. She attended Job Corps in Little Rock and received her GED.

Yolanda was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Brother Bobby Brasfield. She was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas until she moved to Little Rock.

She was the life of the party everywhere she went. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her granddaughters, who were dear to her heart. As a child, Yolanda was afraid to go fishing. When she moved back home with Mama, she began to gain an interest in fishing. She wanted to go all the time, especially night fishing. Yolanda was proud to catch her first fish.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Victoria Natasha Smith, brother Calvin “CG” Smith, Jr., maternal grandparents Leslie and Mary Nichols, paternal grandparents Wilson and Alice Smith, and several aunts and uncles.

Yolanda leaves to mourn four children Charles Smith of Fort Smith, AR, Charlitha Smith and Hakeem Fairow, both of Little Rock, AR, and Antonio Smith of Oklahoma; her parents Debora Hardimon (Larry) and Calvin Smith, Sr. (Deborah), both of Stuttgart, AR; siblings Sharon Nichols of Little Rock, AR and Lester Smith (Shandale) of Waxahachie, TX; step-siblings Sharonda Davis (Erick) of TX, Alicia Hogan (Lonnie) of Casscoe, AR, Carmen Okereafor (Newman) of Sherwood, AR, Darkisha Hardimon of Stuttgart, AR, Lasheena Hardimon of Brinkley, AR, and Nathaniel Hardimon of Conway, AR; three granddaughters Amari Mays, Ayriauna Lewis, and Ke’Niya Coleman; aunts Brenda Pitts (Jeremiah), Rose Batts (Clarence), Gwen Vine, Lessie Howard, Alice Faye Starks, Ruby Smith, and Mary Jones; uncle Terry Bishop; nieces and nephews Talea, Sydney, Aaliyah, Calvin III, and Jalique; special friends and cousins Patrice Luster, Tashema Carter, Katonya Conway, Tangula Sims, Marconia Clinton, and Eugene Hulum; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other friends.
