Willie James Robinson

Willie James Robinson was born July 11, 1953 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late Deacon Eddie Robinson, Sr. and Missionary Mary Etta Robinson. He departed this life Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

From a young age, Willie became interested in farm life. He even got in trouble once as a young boy for skipping school to check on his goats! He loved horses and at one time, owned 32 of them. He always dreamed of owning his own ranch. He acquired the nickname “Doc” from his experience as a veterinarian assistant for Dr. Smith.

Willie had a strong work ethic. He was proudly employed by Producers Rice Mill for 37 years. Although he preferred the peace and tranquility of the country, he enjoyed surprising his family with his presence or by shocking them with an unexpected gift! Willie was not a man of many words, but was bold to speak his mind when needed. He loved watching old western shows, sports, and having movie night with his grandchildren. He would take a day to just drive around and take in all of the scenery. 

Willie was 4th of 12 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Henry ‘Boo’ Robinson, one sister Roberta ‘Becky’ Robinson-Cline, and one nephew Jordan Akeem Lowe.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his children: Brian Robinson (Candice) of Conway, AR and Kristen Williams of Riverview, MI; 5 brothers: David Robinson, Andrew Robinson (Rose), Dennis Robinson, and Roger Robinson, all of Stuttgart, AR and Eddie Robinson, Jr. (Mary) of Kansas City, MO; 4 sisters:  Betty Blood (Darrell), Martha Lowe (Paul), Joyce Robinson-Reed (Kenneth), all of Stuttgart, AR and Mary-Lou Talbot of Longview, TX; 2 grandchildren: Kendall and Kollin Robinson of Conway, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
