Veola (Mason) Jennings

Veola Jennings, born Veola Mason on November 16, 1942, in Parkin, Arkansas to the late John Bennett Mason and Katherine Mason, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was 82 years old.

Veola accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Roe, Arkansas when she was able. She was married to Mr. Alvin “Buddy” Jennings for over 42 years. This union formed four sons and two daughters.

Veola’s life was marked by deep family connections and enduring strength. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alvin; daughters Latanya Jennings and Shlandia Jennings; grandson Aaron Jennings; five sisters; and three brothers.

Her memory lives on through her devoted sons: Jerry Jennings, Calvin Jennings, Willie Jennings and wife Dee, Reymond Jennings and wife Shelly; and sisters Dorithy and Ruby. Veola also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Ashley, Jalisa, Shakira, Alvin, Megan, Tiffany, Emily and Katelynn, and a host of precious great grandbabies that she adored, cousins, nieces, nephews and friendships that she cherished.

Throughout her life, Veola remained rooted in Arkansas, where she built a home filled with love and resilience. Her journey from Parkin to Springdale reflected a lifetime of dedication to family and community.
