Trease Renee Hobbs was born on June 28, 1979 and raised in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Throughout her life, she was known for her warm and radiant smile—one that could light up any room and bring comfort to those around her.
Trease had a deep love for God, and her faith was a guiding force in her life. She carried that love in her heart and shared it through her kindness, strength, and the way she uplifted others.
Above all, she cherished her children, Xavier Hobbs and Makayla Hobbs, who were the center of her world. Her love for them was unwavering, and she took great pride in being their mother.
Trease was born to Bobbie Mullins and Thomas (Barbara Ann) Hobbs. She shared a special bond with her brothers, Michael (Ileaner) Phillips and Eddie Ray (Sondra) Phillips. She was also blessed with a large extended family including her stepbrothers, Brian Coleman, Tyrone Coleman, Otto Jr., Terence, Alexander, and Tommy Mullins; and her stepsisters, Brenda (Charlie) Jones and Tanya Coleman.
She departed this life on April 20, 2026. Trease was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elizabeth and Charles Phillips, and Jack and Irene Hobbs; her stepfather, Otto Mullins, Sr.; her uncles, Charlie Ray Phillips and Lorenzo Hobbs; her stepsister, Regina Merriman; and her cousin, Raydrick Watts-Graves.
Trease’s presence was one of love, faith, and resilience. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to live on through her children, her family, and all who were blessed to know her.
“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” - John 14:2-3
