December 12, 1941 ~ July 16, 2020 (age 78)

Obituary

Thomas “June” Hill, Jr. was born December 12, 1941 to Emma Coker and Thomas Hill, Sr. in Crocketts Bluff, Arkansas. He was the third son to a family of eleven sons and one daughter. Thomas was converted at an early age. He inherited the vocal attributes of his father and sang in the choir for the majority of his Christian life, to which his mother thoroughly enjoyed.

He graduated from Holman High School in 1963. Thomas was an awesome sportsman; he played football and basketball, gaining him a scholarship to Shorter College. He remained faithful to Holman until his health began to fail. Making sure to keep the field mowed, as well as servicing Holman in any way possible.

Thomas worked as a farmer for many years. In 1989, he started a new career at Riceland Foods, retiring in 2004 only to begin another career as a yardman. He was always tinkering on something, whether it was doing a repair on a house or a lawn mower. He had to be busy at all times.

He loved his family whether they were near or far, and he often shared memories of his elders with anyone who would listen. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. Thomas frequently traveled to the basketball and football games of his grandson and any other family events that he could possibly attend whether it was a graduation, wedding, picnic or just traveling to check on his family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Thomas and Emma Hill, his brothers Roy Earls, Sr., John Hill, Hubert Hill, Willie Hill, and sister-in-law Geraldine Hill.

Thomas departed this life on July 16, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his wife and family. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 25 years Reatha Hill; daughters Tena Ellis of Little Rock, AR, Brittany (Marcus) Graydon of Stuttgart, AR, Whitney Moore Hill of Little Rock, AR, and Torshalle Smith, Temeka Smith, and Erika Smith, all of Stuttgart, AR; one son Tyreece Smith of Haynes, AR; five grandsons Christopher Berry of Little Rock, AR, Tru’Daviis Hobbs, Taylor Smith, Tyion Berry and DeMari McKinney, all of Stuttgart, AR; four granddaughters Kayla Berry of Little Rock, AR, Tiara Holder of Helena, AR, Jessica Phillips and Martaya McKinney, both of Stuttgart, AR; two great-grandchildren Christopher Michael Berry of Little Rock, AR and Kali Grace Hobbs of Stuttgart, AR; six brothers Paul Hill of Stuttgart, AR, Otis (Early Mae) Hill of Clarendon, AR, Kenneth (Shirley) Hill, Freddie (Theresa) Hill, Curtis (Debra) Hill, all of Stuttgart, AR, and Gerry (Agnus) Hill of Little Rock, AR; one sister Louise (Paul) McCoy of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers-in-law Dannie (Christine) Thomas of Jonesboro, AR and Marvin (Carolyn) Thomas of West Helena, AR; four sisters-in-law Fannie Hill of Stuttgart, AR, Pearlene Valentine of Blytheville, AR, Benetta (Roy) Milton of Little Rock, AR, and Emma (Paris) Pickett of Conway, AR; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
