Thomas Austin, Jr.

Thomas Austin, Jr. was born on December 25, 1929 to the late Thomas and Sadie Lee Ebron Austin in Holly Grove, Arkansas. He was the oldest of ten children. Thomas transitioned on March 20, 2022.

In 1946, he joined the United States Army and served his country proudly.

Thomas worked for numerous years at Pettigrew Furniture Company in Clarendon, Arkansas. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming and fishing, as well as helping others with odd jobs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, seven brothers, and one sister.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Pauline Peete; ten daughters Catherine Mitchell, Alberta Austin, Elizabeth Beverly, Mary Louise Humphrey, Frances (Micheal) Dunigan, Linda (Eric) Harris, Jeannie Bradley, Michelle Bradley, Margeret Hudson, and Erma Cole; four sons Thomas Austin III, Harold (Diane) Austin, Patrick M. Austin, and Paul (Whitney) Bradley; one sister Marie (Louis) Courtland; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
