Thaddious Osby Sr Obituary

Thaddious Bernard Osby began his journey of life on June 17, 1953 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He completed his destined journey on Friday, July 18, 2024 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Thaddious accepted Christ and was baptized at a very early age. He became a member of Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend G.H. Wade. Later in his life’s journey as an adult of matured age, he became a member of Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Stuttgart, under the leadership of Reverend Bobby Brown. There he remained until his departure of life. His heart, however, always remained in close relationship with his first love, Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorialship of Reverend Gilbert Byrd, Jr.

In 1972 Thaddious graduated from Stuttgart High school. While in school, he worked at Kroger grocery store, enjoying every minute of sacking and carrying out groceries for customers. Thaddious was greatly liked, respected, and spoken well of by his employer and co-workers.

Shortly after graduation, Thaddious married his high school sweetheart, Cherion Bradley. To this union were born three children - one daughter Shavona and two sons Thaddious, Jr. and Andre.

He later moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he became employed by Williams Construction Company, developing a love for concrete finishing.

Loved ones who preceded Thaddious in death were his mother Mernivie Osby, father Willie O’Neal, grandparents Elizabeth Osby and Napolean Osby, aunts, and brothers Elias Williams, Columbus Osby, Sr., and Billy Joe Burtrain.

Thaddious leaves to mourn his passing, his three children Shavona Osby Wright of Pyeongtaek, South Korea, Thaddious Osby, Jr. (Maria) and Andre Osby, both of Woodbridge, Virginia; five grandchildren Maribella R. Valverde and Katalina S. Osby, both of Woodbridge, Virginia, Celeste Wright of Dallas, Texas, Asionaye Osby and KeAndre Osby, both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four sisters Shirley Warren (Johnny), Gloria Broady (George), Gertie Tolbert, and Gratha Butler, all of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two brothers Brensom Osby of Stuttgart, Arkansas and John Osby of Little Rock, Arkansas; his special lady Vicki Washington (“his Boo”) and her children, all of Stuttgart, Arkansas; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
