Tamara Denise Geans was born June 16, 1975 to Clayton and Irma Geans in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She departed this life on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in the comfort of her own home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Roe, Arkansas. After relocating to Little Rock, Arkansas, she joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sweet Home, Arkansas.
Tamara was a graduate of Dollarway High School, Class of 1993, in Pine Bluff. Shortly after, she enlisted in the Army Reserves. In addition, she was a member of The Pershing Rifles, a military-oriented honor society.
A few years after the birth of her two children Christopher Dontre’ Geans and Adrienne Deneice Geans, she was diagnosed with diabetes. In 1998, Tamara was united in holy matrimony to Melvin Anthony Hall. And to this union, her third child Mia Deshawn Cecilla Hall was born.
After receiving an Associate’s Degree in Pharmaceuticals in 2005, she began her career as a Pharmacy Technician until she was diagnosed with Lupus in 2012. Afterwards, out of her love for fashion, Tamara briefly worked in retail.
Once her children were adults and she became an ‘empty nester’, she started traveling. She visited Las Vegas, Nevada, Cozumel, Mexico, Austin, TX, Dallas TX, and Jacksonville, FL. Tamara enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Tamara was a very selfless person, who mentored young girls and helped family and friends who were experiencing hardships by opening her doors to them. Also, she often donated money and clothes to teens in need.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Leotis & Almetia Keaton and Theodore & Verdie Geans; aunts Carolyn Geans and Ruby Geans; uncles Johnny Keaton, Leotis Keaton, Jr., Ivory Geans, John Farmer, Bobby Coker and Rubin Jones; cousins Lina Coker, Gina Coker, and Natalie Clark; and sister Bonnie McDonald.
Tamara leaves to cherish her memories her parents Clayton and Irma Geans of Millington, TN; her loving children Adrienne (Miles) Billops, Sr. of Norman, OK, Christopher Geans of Pine Bluff, AR, and Mia Hall (Tia Woodruff) of Little Rock, AR; five grandchildren Brandon, Meah, Parker, Miles Jr., and Caiden; siblings Erica Ramage and Alexandria Geans, both of Millington, TN, Cachet Blalock of Boynton Beach, FL and Michael Hall of West Palm Beach, FL; nieces Brianna Robinson and Natalie Williams, both of Pine Bluff, AR, and Charnez Ramage of Charlotte, NC; nephew Aaron Harris of Pine Bluff, AR; mother-in-law Priscilla Hall of Little Rock, AR; father-in-law Cudell Hodges of Little Rock, AR; a dear friend LaShundra Kelly of Pine Bluff, AR; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
