Switzer Hogan Obituary

Switzer Lee Hogan was born March 23, 1948 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the proud parents of Bernice Cunningham-Hogan and Percy Hogan, Sr. He was a 1966 graduate of Immanuel High School.

He was united in holy matrimony to Winnie Phillips on July 7, 1969. From this union, they were blessed with three daughters Vicky Earnest, Heather Hogan, and Andria Hogan-Brown.

Switzer was a welder for thirty years at Eddins Manufacturing in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Although he worked very hard to provide for his family, he never missed a beat. He loved welding, as well as making fish cookers, BBQ grills, grain carts, and tool boxes. Additionally, he had a love for grilling. He was well known for his BBQ grills and sold them all over the state of Arkansas.

He gave his life to Christ at Liberty Baptist Church in Casscoe, Arkansas. He later moved his membership to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with his wife Winnie in Roe, Arkansas. He enjoyed being an usher and always helped anywhere he could.

Switzer departed this life on November 5, 2020 at Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernice Cunningham-Hogan and Percy Hogan, Sr. of Casscoe, AR and one sister Bobbie Cunningham-Harris of Cleveland, OH.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Winnie Hogan; three daughters Vicky (Reginald) Earnest, Heather Hogan, and Andria (Ronnie) Hogan-Brown; two brothers Percy (Rachel Stewart) Hogan, Jr. of Stuttgart, AR and Malvis Hogan of Casscoe, AR; six sisters Mavis (Fred) Henderson, Roccine Taylor, and Carol Garrison, all of Cleveland, OH, Sharon Hamilton of Lonoke, AR, Carlene (Roosevelt) Fulton of Casscoe, AR, and Birdie (Leonard) Jackson of Stuttgart, AR; and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
