Stella Mayfield

Stella Marie Mayfield was born on June 26, 1986 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Frances Vaseur and Jimmy Vest. She departed this life on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Rock River Hospice Home in Sterling, Illinois.

Above all, Stella treasured her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and caring for those she loved. She created warmth wherever she went and made home a place of comfort, love, and peace.

Throughout her journey, Stella lived in Arkansas, Florida, and Illinois, carrying her gentle spirit and caring nature with her wherever life led. She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments — long walks along the beach or by the river, cooking for those she loved, creating a peaceful home, and spending quiet time coloring to relax and unwind.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather Johnny Vaseur and her grandparents Ruth and Allen Bumpus.

Stella leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her life partner Lonnie Warnicke; her beloved children Tykira, Charlie, and Nick; her loving mother, Frances Vaseur; her dear sisters, Jennifer Bumpus and Joy White; her best friend/cousin, Constance Maronay; as well as many other family members and loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.

A piece of so many hearts went with her, but the love Stella leaves behind will remain forever, guiding and comforting those who loved her most.
