Sharon Dodson

Sharon Dodson was the youngest of five Dodson children. She attended Stuttgart High School where she excelled in band and choir. She was first chair Clarinet in her high school band and was a straight A student. 

After graduating from Arkansas Tech University with a BA of Science, “Pearl” as she was fondly called, landed a manager position at Furr’s buffet restaurant in Dallas, Texas. Sharon quickly moved up in the ranks to General Manager where she trained other managers and mentored many others over the years who have gone on to make successful careers.

Sharon became primary caretaker of her mother and father throughout their lives, all while working fulltime as General Manager of Furr’s.

She will be forever cherished by her sister, brothers, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Dodson, mother Earline Dodson, brother Wilfred Dodson, and nephew Brent Dodson.

Sharon is survived by Peggy Diane Dodson, Johnny Dodson, Mack Dodson, sister-in-law Eleanore Dodson, and special sister Ruby. Sharon is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews Melika Dodson, Omar (Lisa) Dodson, Lakeesha (John) Rycraw, Candice Dodson, Jamin, Jameca, Jamia, Amanda Dodson, Jon Chazley Dodson, Cloe Dodson, and Jon Charles Dodson.
