“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thou rod and thou staff, they comfort me" ~Psalm 23:4
Roy Charles Anderson, Jr. was born September 2, 1982, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Geneva Maddox (Anderson) and Roy Charles Anderson, Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Mckissic at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and later moved his membership to All Nations Tabernacle of God in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, under the leadership of the late Bishop Irven Cunning and Pastor Florida Cunning.
In 2007, he received his high school diploma. After completing the program, Roy furthered his education at Colorado Technical University, earning an Associate Degree in Business. He continued his studies in Business Administration at Grantham University.
Roy loved skilled jobs. He worked for companies like Tyson, Hoover, Welspun, and ultimately served as a storage manager at U-Haul. It’s safe to say he was a "Jack of all trades,". He also loved cooking and preparing meals for his children and family. In addition, he enjoyed painting and landscaping. Roy Charles Anderson, Jr. will be remembered for his love, humor, and compassion. He always found ways to help those in need and had a deep affection for everyone, especially his cat, Stoney. Above all, he will be greatly missed.
Loved ones who preceded Roy in death were a brother Brandon Anderson; grandmother Sallie Anderson; grandfather Lonnie Maddox, Sr.; uncle Lonnie Maddox, Jr.; along with uncles Walter, Ike, Otis, Hosea, and Carl who all were a part of the Anderson family.
Roy leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Geneva Maddox (Buckhanan) and Roy Charles Anderson, Sr.; one daughter Samerehyia Anderson; one son Tyler Anderson; two sisters Shaneka Anderson and Sharonda Anderson; one brother Justin Anderson; a special and dear friend Enicka Scarver; grandparent Pearlie Mae Sims; step-grandmother Louise Maddox; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to also mourn his passing.
