Our mother Rosine Fitzpatrick Phillips was born July 24, 1935 to the late Jim and Bertha Fitzpatrick of Ethel, Arkansas. She departed this life on March 9, 2023.
Rosine accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She united with St. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in DeWitt, Arkansas and served under the leadership of Pastor J.D. Walker. Rosine faithfully served as Usher, Secretary, and backup Treasurer, until her health declined.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Christophus Phillips in 1953. They remained faithful in marriage for forty-six years, until his death.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Bertha Fitzpatrick, her late husband Christophus Phillips, her only granddaughter Whitlee Phillips, three brothers Martin and Sanford (Uncle Elmer & Uncle Dank) and Bill, and five sisters Leora, Emma Janet, Zeda “Joy”, Fannie and Roxie Fitzpatrick.
Rosine leaves to cherish her memories her only daughter Sherrye of DeWitt, AR; five sons Michael (Wendy), Rodney (Mavin), Kenneth, Jeff (Teresa), all of northern California, and Christopher Arnold (Kim) of Little Rock, AR; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister Pearline (Jerry) Rollie of Kansas City, MO; other relatives and friends.
