Mrs. Robbie Hobbs was born August 6, 1950 in Arkansas county to the late Mabel Hardnett and Rev. DL O’Neal. At the age of 73 years old, she departed this life on December 21, 2023.
Robbie graduated from DeWitt High School in DeWitt, Arkansas and attended college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Stuttgart, Arkansas, under the leadership of Dr. C. E. Hawkins, Sr., where she sang in the choir, served as Youth Director, and coordinated City Serve.
Robbie enjoyed being a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and rose to the rank of Director.
Robbie leaves to cherish her memory her husband Wade Hobbs, daughter Dr. Ouida McAfee, son Benjamin (Latasha) O’Neal II, grandchildren Dr. Benjamin O’Neal III, Bernard McAfee, Jr., Dillian O’Neal, Prince O’Neal, Jhournee O’Neal, and Jaxson O’Neal.
Also cherishing her memory are sisters Frankie (Kirks) Oates, Leslie Tart, Margaret McDonald, Alisa O’Neal, Carolyn Douglas, Deborah Johnson, Jeanette Frost, Karen (Leon) Slaughter, Sharon Pilgrim, Janice Avery, Delores Kelly, and brothers Chubby Ticey, Ricky (Rita) Ticey, Deltha O’Neal, Jr., Rickey Henderson, Barry Swygart, Kirk Hughes, Keith Pickett, and Christopher Phillips, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
