Percy Fate Arnold, a devoted husband, beloved family member, and faithful servant, completed his earthly journey on the evening of July 25, 2025. Born at sunrise on November 19, 1943, in Jackson, Mississippi, Percy was a twin son of the late Mr. Tommie Fate Arnold and Mrs. Rosie Walker Arnold.
Early in life, Percy accepted Christ as his Savior at New Stranger’s Home Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.F. Jordan. He lived a life anchored in faith and service, truly embodying the hands and feet of Jesus.
Percy was educated at Holy Ghost Catholic High School and proudly joined the United States Air Force in 1961. He dedicated 22 years to serving his country, retiring with honor and distinction. His spirit of service continued in his second career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked for another 20 years as a Postal Supervisor and Postmaster until retiring again in 2003.
He found joy in helping others, traveling, golfing, watching sports and news, and being a light in the lives of all he encountered. His legacy of kindness, strength, and integrity lives on in those who loved him.
Percy was preceded in his “address change” by his father and mother, twin brother, his beloved son, sisters, and other beloved relatives.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 63 years, Bettie Arnold of Jacksonville, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends, including his cousin-brother Lloyd Phillips and other lifelong companions.
We give thanks for the high noon of Uncle Percy’s life and pray for the grace to carry forward the godly inheritance he left behind.
