Ora Robinson Obituary

Ora M. Robinson was born September 9, 1930 to the late Daniel Harvey and Nancy Carr.

She was one of ten children. Ms. Ora Mae moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas from Sterling, Arkansas and received her education in the Stuttgart School System.

She and her family moved to Stuttgart from Chicot, Arkansas. On February 24, 1947, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Hollie Robinson, Sr., who preceded her in death. To this union fifteen children were born. Three preceded her in death. She was employed as a Supervisor in the Shoe Department with Wal-Mart for over seventeen years, where she faithfully worked until her retirement in 1992. Her great love and devotion were not limited to her immediate family.

Ms. Ora Mae was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a strong, hard-working woman who believed in her convictions. She dedicated her life to living for the Lord and her family. She enjoyed working her crossword puzzles, word search, reading her Bible, and watching Murder She Wrote starring Angela Landsbury.

Mother Robinson confessed faith in Christ in 1966 at Benton Temple COGIC, under the leadership of the late Elder C. L. Benton, where she served in various positions which included church mother, trustee, prayer warrior, and member of the Missionary Board; she remained a faithful member. In 1986 she became a member of Outreach COGIC under the leadership of Elder Perry Ward, Jr. and served there faithfully. In 2008 the name changed to New Life Outreach Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Irenna Ward-Bryant, where she served as church mother, trustee, and missionary, as well as, taught the youth the Christian way. She was a faithful and dedicated member until God called her home on December 21, 2023. She loved the church, especially Sunday school.

Mother Robinson was very family-oriented and had a helping hand in raising her grandchildren, teaching them the pathway of righteousness. Mother was a no-nonsense woman and very stern in her word. She will be missed tremendously by her family, friends, and church members forever.

She leaves to cherish her memory eight sons: Jimmy L. Robinson (Joyce) of Illinois, Steven L. Robinson (Gloria) of Texas, Harvey E. Robinson (Connie) of Stuttgart, Terry W. Robinson of Illinois (deceased), Jerry L. Robinson of Jacksonville, Danny Robinson of Michigan, Daniel Robinson of Alabama, and Hollie Robinson, Jr. (Denise) of Georgia; six daughters Susan J.
