Odis “Buddy” Lloyd, Jr. was born April 17, 1940 to the late Izora and Odis Lloyd, Sr. near Ethel, Arkansas. He departed this life on Monday, December 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
On December 13,1958 he was united in holy matrimony to Nancy Broady. To this union seven children were born: Sheila, Anita, Traci, Keith, Reginald, Broderick and Odis.
Odis was a member of Victors’ Empowerment Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas, under the leadership of Apostle Victor E. Johnson.
He worked at Eddins Sales, as well as Producers Rice Mill where he retired after twenty years of service. Affectionately known as Mr. Buddy, Odis enjoyed hunting and talking about politics.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Odis Sr. and Izora Lloyd; one daughter Sheila Harper; one sister Shirley Scaife; one grandson Broderick Lloyd, Jr.; and a nephew Kerry Griffo.
Odis leaves to celebrate his life his loving wife of sixty-two years Nancy Lloyd of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two daughters Anita (Carl) Ross of Oak Ridge, North Carolina and Traci Lloyd of Stuttgart, Arkansas; four sons Keith (Tami) Lloyd of Raleigh, North Carolina, Reginald Lloyd of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Broderick Lloyd of Wichita, Kansas and Odis Lloyd of Oak Ridge, North Carolina; six granddaughters Natasha Ross, Ameco Lloyd, Cammy Ross-Archie, Precious Hunt, Ashley Wilson, and Kendall Lloyd; one Goddaughter Kenlynn McDonald; eight grandsons Carl Ross, Kenneth Brown, Jr., Justin Lloyd, Reginald Lloyd, Myles Lloyd, Broady Lloyd, Randy Lloyd, and Jordan Phillips; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters Lois Stigger of Sherwood, Arkansas, Dorothy Lloyd and Joanne (Larry) Loudermilk, both of Stuttgart, Arkansas; a special cousin Emma Fairow of Stuttgart, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
