She was the second born of eight children. O.V. departed this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at DeWitt Nursing Home in DeWitt, Arkansas.

She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Popular Creek Baptist Church in Crocketts Bluff, under the leadership of Reverend M.H. Stigger. O.V. graduated from Popular Creek Public School in Crocketts Bluff. She also attended Immanuel High School in Almyra, Arkansas.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and quilting. O.V.’s greatest joy, however, included working with her church family and helping to provide a strong Christian environment for her siblings.
