Norvella Marina Daniels was born on March 5, 1932 to the late Ross Marina and Annie Sanders in Ethel, Arkansas.
She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend W.C. Marshall at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Ethel. She later united with Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in DeWitt, Arkansas. Afterwards, she was under the watch care of Solomon Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, under the leadership of her son Reverend Ken D. Daniels.
She received an eighth-grade education in a one room schoolhouse in Ethel. She was blessed with many skills to be a good mother, housewife, and cook. Norvella always made people feel welcome into her home and wanted to feed anyone who was hungry.
Willie and Norvella Daniels were married in 1948, and to this union nine children were born. Five of her children preceded her in death. She worked as a short order cook until retirement in both communities Black and White. One thing Norvella taught all her children were Work Ethics, Morals, Value, and Character and to be obedient to the elders. She also made sure that all her children received a high school education, and four of them obtained college degrees.
Norvella loved going to family reunions in different cities to see family members and friends. She also loved going on her annual trip with her sisters Annie Pearl and Louise and friends to Las Vegas.
She transitioned on Friday, December 22, 2023 in the comfort of her home. Norvella was preceded in death by her parents and children Bridgett Daniels, Alice Faye Daniels Ice, Douglas Daniels, Russell Daniels, and Linda Diane Daniels Greene.
Norvella leaves to cherish her memories her sons Roy (Shirley) Daniels of Little Rock, AR and Reverend Ken D. (Mattie) Daniels of DeWitt, AR; two daughters Pamela Daniels of Dallas, TX and Keisha Daniels of Little Rock, AR; one Goddaughter Brenda Spence-Ester of Dallas, TX; one sister Louise Marina of Kansas City, MO; one first cousin Florida Porter of Stuttgart, AR; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
