Missionary Florence Walker

Florence Amos - Walker was born March 3, 1955 to Edith and Ervin Amos, Sr. in Clarendon, Arkansas. She was the second oldest of ten children. Florence transitioned from this earthly life on August 12, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center- Stuttgart, surrounded by loved ones.

She attended George Washington Carver School in Clarendon. Florence confessed her life to Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Elder Wiley Johnson at St. Paul Church of God and Christ in Clarendon. Later, under Elder McArthur Dismuke’s leadership, she became a faithful member, earned her missionary license, and was honored as the mother of the church.

Florence loved being a grandmother, going shopping, attending church, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandson Noah. She treasured moments with her children and grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, and cherished outings with her granddaughter during her visits home. Being surrounded by family brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her mother Edith Amos, father Ervin Amos, Sr., husband Deacon Eddie Walker, beloved son Eric Amos and daughter Cassandra, sisters Loretta Amos and Carmanetta Sain, brother Leonard Amos, niece Demetria “Chocolate” Amos, nephew Tavares  Amos, and best friend Annie Bates.

Florence will forever be cherished by her loving granddaughter Keionna Amos of Lewisville, TX; daughter Tasha Amos of Clarendon, AR; son Derrick Amos of Clarendon, AR; sister Angela (Kevin) Thomas of Brinkley, AR; brother Ervin Amos, Jr. of Clarendon, AR; grandchildren Tamara West, Jacquon Harris, Mikhail Banks, Adrianna Amos, Jacobie Amos, LaEric Amos, Ramond Amos, Queesha Amos, Marderrius Amos, Derrick Amos, Jr., and Keyshanti Amos; and an abundance of great- grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
