Mike Relerford

Mike Relerford was born August 14, 1970 to the late Booker T. and late Leoria London Relerford in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He departed this life on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Baptist Health Medical Center, Stuttgart. 

He was a graduate of Stuttgart High School, Class of 1988. Mike attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, majoring in Business Administration.

Mike accepted Christ in his younger years at New Bethel A.M.E Church in Stuttgart, where he remained a faithful member until his transition. He served as an Exhorter, leading Sunday morning prayer. Mike was very passionate about becoming a pastor; that was his greatest joy. 

He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Campbell on November 6, 1996. To this union, two children were born Ayisha and Tabitha.

Mike was introduced into the funeral industry at birth, as he grew to know the business under the tutelage of his father Booker T. Relerford, the owner of Relerford & Son Funeral Home. Alongside his mother, he took great pride in serving families within his community and surrounding areas during their time of need. In addition, he was employed by the Stuttgart Police Department, Riceland Foods, Inc., and Producers Rice Mill, Inc.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Mike was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brothers Charlie Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson, Emmit Relerford and Alvin Relerford.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years Mary Relerford of Stuttgart, AR; two daughters Ayisha Relerford (Christen) and Tabitha Relerford (De’Ongelo), both of Stuttgart, AR; two special grandchildren Nicholas Lollis and Nehemiah Lollis, both of Stuttgart, AR; sister Tish Relerford of Detroit, MI; four Godchildren Maxine Ferguson, Tiara Ferguson, Dewayne Ferguson, all of Jacksonville, AR and Xavier Hobbs of Stuttgart, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
