Marylene “Mae Mae” Dabner was born May 30, 1957 to the late Robert Elee “Rob” and Mollie Mae O’Neal Ross in Little Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, surrounded by her loving family.
Mae Mae graduated from DeValls Bluff High School in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas. In addition, she earned her Cosmetology License from Steve Earle Cosmetology School and later received her Medical Assistant Certification through Independent Living, where she remained until her untimely passing.
Mae Mae married Eddie Dabner on April 5, 2011. She remained a devoted and caring wife until his passing in 2023.
Mae Mae accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Traveler’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where she received her Minister’s License under the leadership of the late Pastor Bobby Brasfield. Her devotion to her faith was unwavering. In addition to her membership at Traveler’s Rest, under the leadership of Pastor Debra Burton, she also frequently worshiped at Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Lively Stone Pentecostal Church, and Victors’ Empowerment Center.
Mae Mae enjoyed quilting, loved going to estate sales, and was known for her generous heart and caring spirit. Every Monday, she looked forward to day trips to Pine Bluff or Little Rock with her cousin Beverly. In the evenings, she spent cherished time with her dear friend Brenda Jones, playing cards and enjoying each other's company.
Mae Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eddie Dabner, sisters Roxanne Luckett and Wilma Bradford, and brothers Johnny Paul Ross and Larry Sims.
Mae Mae leaves to cherish her memories her children Keidrick Ross of Mobile, AL, Timothy Ross and Jonathan Dabner, both of Stuttgart, AR, Terry Dabner of Ohio, Judy Burton of Jacksonville, FL, Felicia Dabner of Ohio, and Tina Coleman of Stuttgart, AR; bonus daughter Stephanie (Edward) Buie of Pine Bluff, AR and bonus son Andrew Ross of Little Rock, AR; six sisters Effie Everett and Josephine Richardson, both of Stuttgart, AR, Brenda Johnson and Rosie Carloss, both of Little Rock, AR, Lena Venyard and Addie Tinsley, both of Kansas City, MO; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
