Marlon James, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Marlon Edward James, Sr. was born to the union of Mr. Ellis Edward James, Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas and the Late Mrs. Emma Jean Wilborn (Childress-Adams) of Stuttgart, Arkansas, on January 1, 1971 in Marvell, Arkansas. Marlon was also preceded in death by his loving grandparents; Mrs. Johnnie Mae McGhee-Wilborn and Mr. E. C. Wilborn, Sr., both of West Helena, Arkansas; his loving aunt, Linda C. Wilborn-Harper of Maumelle, Arkansas; his oldest uncle, Eddie C. Wilborn of Little Rock, Arkansas; and his youngest brother, Mr. Freddie Lee Childress, of Little Rock, Arkansas. Marlon resided in Little Rock, Arkansas until his unfortunate death on March 26, 2021. 

Marlon was raised in Marvell, Arkansas and moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas in 1979, where he attended the Stuttgart School System (Buerkle Elementary, Northside Middle, and Stuttgart High). While in Stuttgart, Arkansas, he met close associates Mr. Leodis Walker and Mr. Jimmy Refeld, both of whom he remained close friends with until his death. He later moved to Sacramento, California and there he would meet Miss Rashonda Nelson. To this union with Miss Nelson, 3 children were born: Miss Davenia James, Mr. Marlon Edward James, Jr., and Miss LeKreshae James; all of Sacramento, California. To this great union, 7 grandchildren were born: Devenia (3) and Marlon, Jr. (4). 

He leaves to cherish the memories of his life: his father Mr. Ellis Edward James, Sr. (Peggy); his 3 children (Davenia, Marlon, Jr., and LeKreshae); his 7 grandchildren; 9 siblings [Ms Jacqueline Denise Wilborn of Paris, Tennessee; Mrs. Jacqueline Ellise James-Jordan (Billie) of Forth Worth, Texas; Mr. Ellis Edward James, Jr. (aka Squeaky) of Forth Worth, Texas; Mr. Anthony Fate Childress (Jennifer) of Dallas, Texas; Mr. Lawrence Edward Childress of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mr. Tramil James of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mr. Tramel James of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mr. Tramain James of Mexia, Texas; and Mr. Travale James of Little Rock, Arkansas]; 3 aunts [Mrs. Evelyn Johnson of Marion, Louisiana; Ms Bobbie Givan of Trenton, Tennessee, and Mrs. Sandra K. Wilborn-Harper (Erwin) of Conway, Arkansas]; 4 uncles [Mr. Ronell Wilborn (Ida) of Phoenix, Arizona; Mr. E. C. Wilborn, Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mr. Willie J. Wilborn of Miami, Florida, and Mr. William T. Wilborn (Jill) of Mt. Judea, Arkansas]. Marlon also leaves a host of nieces, nephews [he shared a very special relationship with his nephew, Joshua (JR) Richardson], cousins, friends, and associates to celebrate the memory of his life. May he rest in eternal peace.
