Mae Jane Addison Obituary

                                                                             She was loved by many…….

Sis. Mae Jane Harvey-Addison knew all three. Her sunrise dawned on February 27, 1963, in Ulm, Arkansas born to the late Wilson Timmons, Sr. and Leola Austin Harvey. As the baby girl of eleven children, Mae Jane’s high noon of life shines throughout as she impacted family, friends, and the community while serving her Heavenly Master. Her sunset of life was early morning on July 23, 2022.  She was preceded in her address change by her parents Leola Harvey and Wilson Timmons Sr., sister Earmer J. Grant.

In her early years, Sis. Mae Jane accepted Christ as her Savior at New Bethel A.M.E. in Stuttgart, Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend James E. Hughes. She later moved to Outreach C.O.G.I.C under the leadership of Elder Perry Ward, then Pastor Irenna Bryant. She continued as a student of the WORD of God and Faith under the new leadership of Pastors Tony & Regina Langford. Sis. Mae Jane followed the commandment of Jesus to love and help all. She served in God’s Kingdom as she declared the works of the Lord with all of her heart in the hedges and byways in the earth.

Her entire education was in Stuttgart where she graduated in 1981 from Stuttgart High School. Sis. Mae Jane was a dedicated caregiver with a CNA with a CDA certification. She had the opportunity to work for many families in which she gave excellent care and love. She also was the owner and operator of Mae’s Daycare, where she extended her loving care to a plethora of children.  Sis. Addison cared for the aging and youth like they were her own family without discrimination.  She was willing to deny herself to help take care of others. In Sis. Mae Jane’s ultimate purpose, she used her love and knowledge of God’s Word as a tool in the earth to touch the souls of many which resulted in the ultimate goal of being a LIGHT in a dark world.

As God has commanded us, Sis. Addison had a heart of love for everyone she encountered. It was not just through her encouraging words, but in her daily deeds as well.  She would lend a helping hand to all that crossed her path. She lived an active, loving, giving, faith filled, and joyous life. Sis. Mae Jane taught everyone she encountered that JESUS is the HOPE of our salvation, solid foundation, and the supplier of ALL our needs.

Her memories will be forever cherished by: husband London Addison; loving daughters LaTara Robinson & LaToya (Kevin) Arnold of Stuttgart, AR & Latera Robinson of Little Rock, AR; stepchildren Ulanda Addison, Jenell Addison, and London Addison III; brothers Harry(Linda)Harvey, Jr., Larry Harvey, Sr., Kevin(CalvinLee)Harvey, Albert D. Harvey, Wilson(Stella)Timmons, Jr. all of Stuttgart, AR, Edward(Patricia)Harvey of Kansas City, KS, and Elijah(Patsy)Harvey of Fresno, CA; sisters Polly Ann Bell, Karen Harvey, Sharon Harvey, & Bessie Jeffery all of Stuttgart, AR; grandchildren Kalea, Michael, Lathan, Kaci, Ailai, Danielle, Kecy, Kelis, and Kylen; God daughter Yolanda Real; special sister-in-law Gloria Laverne Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

We are grateful for Sis. Mae Jane Harvey-Addison’s high noon of life. We pray that we will be granted the power to appreciate the Godly inheritance bequeathed us through her sunset.
