Louis Gene Clark, 71, of DeWitt, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at DeWitt City Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1946 in DeWitt to the late Emmitt Clark, Sr. and the late Elnora Brunson Clark.
Louis graduated from Immanuel High School in 1965. He served his country in the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam. He and Alice Mae Logan were united in holy matrimony on June 16, 1979. He was employed by Scott Land Levelers for 10 years, under the supervision of David Estees, and Producers Rice Mill for 31 years, retiring on March 1, 2018. He completed his career at Producers as a supervisor.
Louis’ hobbies included fishing and spending time with his family. He was a great provider. Louis was a member of The Redeemed Church of God in Christ, under the pastorage of Elder Early Robinson. In recent months, he was also ministered to daily by Elder Terry Watson. Brother Wardell Bobo often prayed with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William Clark, Earl Clark, Emmitt Clark, Jr., and Lee Elvin Clark.
Louis leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Alice Mae Clark; daughter Shamanda (Harvey) Harris; sons Jerry and Justin Clark; grandson Nathaniel Irish; granddaughter Sakya Johnson; mother-in-law Mrs. Annie Mae Logan; one brother Rogers (Brenda) Clark; one sister Charlene (Gale) Oates; in-laws Odessa (Joe) Shackelford of Marvel, AR; Larry (Sandra) Logan, Bennie and Leo Logan of DeWitt, AR; Charles (Latisha) Logan and Debbie (Elijah) Walls of Pine Bluff, AR; Debra Bradford of Little Rock, AR; Alline Goins of Chicago, IL; Elover Hall and Maeola (Clydell) Smith of Stuttgart, AR; uncle Carl T. (Johnnie) Brunson of Seattle WA; aunt Exonia (Louis) Bennett of Helena, AR; favorite cousin Amber Jean Ward; nieces and nephews Joseph (Gabrielle) Shackelford, Trenika, Ashley, Timothy, Alexis, Dione, Crystal, Charleston, Cydney, Emmitt III, Elijah, Dominic, Raylon, Louis, Brenda, Willie Bee, Shaunta, and Tekarla; and special friends Moses and Glenda Turner.
