Linda Diane Daniels-Green was born to Willie and Norvella Daniels on December 15, 1950 in St. Charles, Arkansas. She was the second of nine children.
She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend A.T. Riley at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in St. Charles. She was a member of Bear Creek Community Church in Dallas, Texas.
Diane graduated from St. Charles High School, Class of 1969. She then attended Draughon Business School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she earned a Certificate in Administration Assistance. In the fall of 1970, she began working at GTE Corporation in Stuttgart, Arkansas as a Telephone Operator. In 1985, Diane was transferred to Dallas, Texas. During her time at GTE, she moved up the ladder in a position as Team Lead, ultimately becoming ‘World Employee of the Year’ in 1990. Dianne retired from GTE- Verizon in 2008.
After retirement in 2010, she moved back to Arkansas to be closer to her family. Diane was a grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader. In addition, Diane loved to watch Judge Judy and her western movies. She also enjoyed taking vacations and attending family reunions.
She transitioned on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Diane was preceded in death by her father Willie Daniels, two sisters Bridgett Trammel Daniels and Alice Faye Daniels-Ice, and two brothers Douglas Daniels and Russell Ray Daniels.
Diane leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Norvella Daniels of Dewitt, AR; one son Darrell Oates of Little Rock, AR; two daughters Mitze Daniels of Silver Springs, MD and Cecelia Young-Hinton (Luther) of Jacksonville, AR; four granddaughters Ashley Daniels of Washington, D.C., Britney Riley of Charlotte, NC, Bradlee Oates and Andrea Oates, both of Little Rock, AR; one grandson Elijah Hinton of Jacksonville, AR; two great grandchildren Amir Daniels and Ruby Williams, both of Washington, D.C.; two brothers Roy Daniels, Sr. (Shirley) of Little Rock, AR and Rev. Kendale Daniels (Mattie) of Dewitt, AR; two sisters Pamela Daniels-Taylor (Robert) of Dallas, TX and Keisha Daniels of Little Rock, AR; one aunt Louise Marina of Kansas City, MO; one favorite nephew Derrick Daniels of Little Rock, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; one godson John Thompson, Sr. of Dallas, TX; and special friends Joyce Rockwell-Bennett of Texarkana, AR and Patricia Johnson of Stuttgart, AR.
