Leoria L. Relerford was born December 13, 1934 to Steve and Myrtha London in Ethel, Arkansas. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 peacefully at her home.
She was a graduate of Holman School in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Leoria was a young lady with ambitions and a strong-willed personality. In her earlier years, she worked in the nursing field, in which she spoke about with joy in her voice.
Leoria married her beloved Booker T. Johnson and started a profession in the funeral industry. She had an illustrious career as owner of Relerford & Son Funeral Home, which garnered her with a long record of achievements and awards for community service.
A highlight of her many accomplishments included the elite registry of extraordinary professionals Oxford’s Who’s Who, member of Business and Professional Women, member of Stuttgart Industrial Development Co., public speaker at church groups and schools, and host of the Annual Easter Egg Hunt for many years held at J.B. Bryant Park. Leoria’s most elite accomplishment was serving families in the community and surrounding areas for over 50 years with unwavering love, respect, and care in their time of need.
She was preceded in death by her husband Booker T. Relerford, parents Steve and Myrtha London, three brothers Benton London, Samuel London, and Nathaniel London, and one sister Rosie Owens.
Leoria leaves to cherish her memories her loving son Mike (Mary) Relerford; stepdaughter Tish Relerford of Detroit, MI; two special grandchildren Ayisha Relerford and Tabitha Relerford; two special great grandchildren Nicholas Lollis and Nehemiah Lollis; a special friend Jerry D. McCastle; and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
