Kormaine ‘Bear’ Tolliver was born to Melvin Tolliver and the former Linda Kay Reed Tolliver on August 28, 1979. He professed a life for Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ. He departed this life and entered rest on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 38.
‘Bear’ was raised and lived in Stuttgart, AR until his passing. He attended Stuttgart Public Schools.
He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents LC and Della Mae Smith Reed; paternal grandparents LD and Rosie Lee Holt Tolliver; aunts Ruby Jewel Reed Sanders, Phyliss Jean Reed, Mildred Bones, and Tangela Tolliver; uncle Lee Wayne Reed, and a brother Melvin Jr. who passed at a very early age.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father Melvin Tolliver, Sr.; mother and stepfather Linda Kay and Timothy Batemon; brothers Lynn Tolliver, Greg Simmons, and Dewayne Sanders (Erin) of Lawrence, KS; great-great uncle George Smith, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; great uncles Adell Smith, Jr. of Stuttgart, AR and Clinton Smith of Altheimer, AR; sister Raven Batemon; several cousins who were raised by his mother as his siblings: Constance Sanders Burlison (Kenny), Terrica Sanders, Tamatha Sanders, and Taishay Jackson all of Omaha, NE; Troy Sanders, and F. Michelle Givens (Wayne); aunts Flora Jones (Charles), Brenda Miller, Evelyn Jeffery, and Linda Tolliver; uncles Willie Ray Reed, Patrick Tolliver, Sr., Milton Bones, Kenneth Tolliver, Antonio Tolliver, Dale Tolliver, Lincoln Tolliver, and Keith Tolliver, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and special friend Robin Allen.
‘Bear’ never met a stranger and will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and love for the Dallas Cowboys.
