JoAnn Nobles Amos was born April 22, 1957 to the late Joseph and Nellie Nobles in Little Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life on May 1, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Roosevelt Simmons and later under the leadership of Reverend Bobby Brasfield at Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
Affectionately known as “Jody Mack”, she received her GED. She was a domestic diva who loved playing cards, dominos, and bingo, along with excursions to the casino.
JoAnn also enjoyed hanging out under the tree playing dominos with friends. She had a love for travel and fulfilled her dream of visiting Africa, a true testament to her adventurous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33+ years Gary Amos, parents Joseph and Nellie Nobles, and grandparents Georgia Steward and Waymon and Birdie Geans.
JoAnn leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Nelletha “Wee-Wee” Nobles and Ray Evelyn “Sweet Pea” Nobles, both of Stuttgart, AR; two sons Wonderful Counselor “Buddy Boy” Nobles and Raymond Benard “Toon Toon” Smith, both of Stuttgart, AR; four stepchildren Maranda (Joseph) Kitchens of White Hall, AR, Ashley (Rod) Ice of Stuttgart, AR, Brent Jerel Amos Holt and Gary Lee Amos Holt, both of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren Kahlil Ice, Sr., Tyshabrea Bell, Natallah Ice, Wonderful Unique Nobles, Jariyah Bell, and Cash Nobles; great grandchildren Hunter Perrit, Elias Ice, Kahlil Ice, Jr., and Ian Ice; two sisters Ruthie Bradford Hogan (Larry) and Gigi (Augusta) Terry, both of Stuttgart, AR; special caregivers Natallah Ice, Ramona Hobbs, Ruthie Bradford Hogan, Ada Geans, and Debra Minter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
