Jimmy Lee Barry, Sr.

Jimmy Lee Barry, Sr. was born January 31, 1956 in Marvell, Arkansas. He was the son of William Henry Mayo and Aline Young.  Jimmy departed this life on August 30, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Jimmy attended the Clarendon School District in Clarendon, Arkansas. He was employed at Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where he worked for over forty years.

He was united in holy matrimony to Pearlene Hampton, and together they shared thirty-nine years of marriage until her passing.

Jimmy enjoyed occasional trips to the casino and had a fondness for playing the lottery. In his later years, as his health declined, he moved to Jonesboro, where he was lovingly cared for by his niece, Qiana Mayo.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pearlene Barry and sister Gloria Cole.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories his children Jimmy (Shay) Barry, Jr. of Newport, AR, Stacy (Natalie) Barry and Christopher Hampton, both of Stuttgart, AR; fourteen grandchildren; special niece Qiana Mayo of Jonesboro, AR; special nephew Dennis Mayo of Stuttgart, AR, whom he loved as a son; sister Joyce Mayo of Wynne, AR; special brother-in-law Steffon Cole of Stuttgart, AR; and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
