Janie Marie (Mayfield) Avery

Janie Marie Mayfield-Avery was born on January 20, 1954 to the late Mr. Madison Mayfield, Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Mayfield in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She departed this life on November 6, 2020.

She attended Holman High School. She was a devout believer, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Janie loved spending time with family. She enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and listening to music with her grandchildren and children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Madison Mayfield, Sr. and Elizabeth Mayfield, brothers Sylvester Williams and Madison Mayfield, Jr., sister Janice Wright, niece Rhonda Wright, and granddaughter Asharia Hall.

Janie leaves to cherish her memories her children Bettina Avery, Alicia Avery, Marie Avery, Roshunda Avery, Tiffany (Anthony) Jones, Trimeka Johnson, and Twana Bell; brothers Curtis Mayfield and Frank Mayfield; grandchildren Are’ion Wofford, Jenascia Jones, Akyria O’Neal, Raniya Hill, and Alanna Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
