Howard Lee Minter

Howard Lee Minter was born on May 14, 1958 to the late Sammie and Gussie Minter in Stuttgart, Arkansas. At an early age, he confessed his life to Christ at Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church. Growing up, Howard excelled in academics and sports. He was part of the National Honor Society, Student Council, delegate for Boys State, and an outstanding Senior.

He attended college at University of Arkansas at Monticello where he received a basketball scholarship. He was a supervisor at Lennox Industries for over 20 years. He was well known, loved and cared for throughout the community. Howard was also a mentor to many kids and treated everyone like family. He had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. He loved everyone.

Howard leaves to cherish his memory: one son Herbert (Keiara) Manuel of Irving, TX; two daughters Tiffane Ross of Sherwood, AR and Whitney (Lantonio) Singleton of Cedar Hill, TX; four brothers Cleophis Minter of Apple Valley, CA, Samuel (Estelle) Minter of Garland, TX, Credill Minter and Joe Minter, both of Stuttgart, AR; two sisters Debra (Ed) Johnson and Joyce Hill, both of Stuttgart, AR; eight grandchildren Yasmeen Gonzalez, Hayli Gonzalez, Jayden Andrews, Kaydence Manuel, Chase Clark, Princeton Lampley, Chance Clark, and Te’gan Manuel; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him tremendously.
