Herbert Manuel, Jr. was born on April 6, 1936 in Grady, Arkansas. He was the son of Herbert Manuel, Sr. and Pearlie Charles. He departed this life on July 28, 2022 at Crestpark of Stuttgart.
He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior early in his life while living in Chicago, Illinois, under the leadership of Reverend Piper. He later moved back to Stuttgart, Arkansas, where he became a member of Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend G.H. Wade, followed by the leadership of Reverend Gilbert Byrd, Jr. Mr. Manuel remained faithful to the church and served as a Deacon, until he was no longer able to attend due to his health. While living in Little Rock, Arkansas with his daughter, Schenia, he attended Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Cory Wiley.
Mr. Manuel attended school in Grady, Arkansas and Stuttgart, Arkansas. He was employed by Bogard Rice Mill.
Mr. Manuel was joined in holy matrimony to Anna Berniece Williams. And to this union, five children were born.
His wife Anna Berniece Manuel preceded him in death, as well as a daughter Margaret Manuel and her twins Marshika Hall and Shelbert Hall, his parents Herbert Manuel, Sr. and Pearlie Charles, a sister Laura Harris, and a brother Mack Alexander.
Mr. Manuel leaves to celebrate his homegoing and to cherish his memories two sons Herbert Manuel, III and Thomas Manuel; two daughters Tina Manuel and Schenia Manuel; seven grandchildren Ebony Spencer Manuel, Toccara Glover (Cameron), Herbert Manuel IV, Thomas Manuel, Jr. (Francina), Jamal Manuel, Captain Justin Dupree (Morgan), and Matthew Manuel (Darinka); six great-grandchildren Kam’ryn Glover, Brooklyn Glover, Kadence Manuel, Te’gan Manuel, Austin Dupree, and Harper Dupree; other relatives and friends.
