Our beloved Hanni Roshea Hollier-Smith, a proud native of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, after a courageous three-year battle with breast cancer. She was 43 years old.
Hanni was the cherished eldest of three siblings. A radiant spirit full of joy, humor, and boundless creativity, she had a rare gift for lighting up any room she entered. Whether through singing, acting, or her unforgettable impressions and accents, she could always bring laughter and warmth to those around her. Her vibrant presence and magnetic personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Cornelius Smith, the love of her life; her beloved son, Lieutenant Junior Grade Sethan Hollier; her loving parents, Ray M. Hollier and Regina Hanna Hollier; and her dear brothers, Memphis R. Hollier and Airman Harrison Hollier. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
