Gwendolyn Faye Minor Bell was born on January 9, 1951 in Ethel, Arkansas to the late Evergreen Minor. She transitioned from this life on January 24, 2019 surrounded by family at Crestpark of Stuttgart.
Gwen accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age under the leadership of Reverend Elijah Martin at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Ethel, Arkansas. Later she moved to Traveler’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend Bobby Brasfield until her health began to fail.
She was the neighborhood’s mother. She loved so many, and they loved her in return. She was a housekeeper and the best cook for so many years at various places, until her health begin to fail.
Gwen was preceded in death by her mother Evergreen Minor, daughter Ramona Michelle, and two sisters Jean Ann Davis and Margaret Ann Hicks.
She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life for 48 years Benny L. Frye of Stuttgart, AR; one daughter Tracy D. Frye of Stuttgart, AR; four stepsons Timothy Frye, Terry Frye, and Russell Frye, all of Stuttgart, AR and Roderick Frye of Orlando, FL; grandchildren DeAndre, Anteasha, Destinee, Deontre’, Latia, Marcus, Terry, DeAmato, Stephan, Tim Jr., Whitney, Jarren, and Brittany; four brothers Jerry (Mary) Minor of McGehee, AR, Darinell Minor of Little Rock, AR, Mickey Minor of CT, and Mark (Stephanie) Minor of Toledo, OH; four sisters Fannie Brownlee of Toledo, OH, Amy Jo (Ray) Butler of Ethel, AR, Donna Burtrain of Stuttgart, AR, and Ursa Clark of Dallas, TX; one aunt Ola B. Gibson of NJ; one God sister Mary Burton; one God daughter Montina Horner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
