Mother Grace Helen Noble was born on February 9, 1956, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to the late Mr. Charlie Noble, Sr. and the late Mother Easter Mae Noble. She passed from this life on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Felicia Smith-Jordan.
Grace was a 1974 graduate of Stuttgart High School. She was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ, in Casscoe, Arkansas, under the pastorage of the late Pastor Clarence Guydon. There, she was a youth leader and member of the choir.
In 1978, she married Mr. Jonathan Smith. They relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. There, Mr. Smith passed away. Sister Noble returned to Stuttgart in 1980. In 1990, she married Mr. Sam Wilson. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She joined Philadelphia Church of God in Christ. She was active in prison ministry and the choir.
She was employed at H&R Block as a income tax preparer. She was also employed at the United States Post Office.
Upon returning to Stuttgart, she united with Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Supt. Leato Walker, Jr. There, she was appointed to the Mother’s Board. She later was promoted to Senior Church Mother. God graced her life as a counselor. She was filled with wisdom, which she shared freely with others. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she wrote songs and poetry.
Mother Noble was a woman of unfaltering faith. She loved God and His people.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Mother Noble was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Amos Noble.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Felicia Smith-Jordan, and her husband, John Jordan, Sr. (Pine Bluff, AR); two grandsons: Private Treviyon Smith (Camp Humphreys, South Korea); and John Jordan, Jr. (Pine Bluff); six brothers: Charlie Noble, Jr. and John Noble (Stuttgart,AR); Kavis Noble, Troy Noble and his wife, Bergail Noble, and Elijah Noble (all of Little Rock, AR); and Timothy Noble (Casscoe, AR); five sisters: Gloria Dabner and her husband, Rev. Henry Dabner, Sr. (Casscoe, AR); Maud London and her husband, Pastor Oscar London; Minister Bonita Promisee and her husband, Minister George Promisee, all of Stuttgart; Delphine Noble (Little Rock); Shevonya Noble (Oakland, CA); one special uncle, John Wesley Noble, Jr. and his wife, Helen Noble (Little Rock); four aunts: Mildred Turner and Robin Noble (both of Chicago, IL), Geraldine Fields (Detroit, MI), and Ruby Browley (Stuttgart); New Mt. Zion Rehoboth Church of God in Christ Family; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
