Gloria Ann (Brooks) Hughes

Gloria Ann Brooks Hughes took her rest on April 5, 2025. She was born July 30, 1959 in Humnoke, Arkansas. She was the second oldest of Louis and De Etta Brooks of Humnoke.

She graduated from Humnoke High School. She worked at Riceland Foods’ Appraisal office for forty-five years. She loved being around her family and friends. She loved sitting out on her porch laughing, talking, and enjoying life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and De Etta Brooks, fours sisters Susie Brooks, Emma Brooks Brown, Veronica Brooks Maholmes, and Sandra Bennett.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband David Hughes; two daughters Monica Brooks and Markiedia Brooks; four grandchildren Mahogenee, Tyrik, Malik, and Omar; two great grandchildren Maziyion and Keegan; two sisters Mae Racy and Lenora Brooks; a very special friend like a sister to her Sheila McKinney; two special friends Shanna Shelton and Gary Shelton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
