Gerry Gary Hill

Gerry, affectionately known as “Gary”, was born on August 12, 1958, to the late Thomas J. Hill, Sr. And Emma M. Coker-Hill in Little Rock, Arkansas. Gerry made his earthly departure on January 9, 2025.

Gerry accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, under the leadership of Reverend Martin.

Gerry was a member of the Stuttgart High School graduating Class of 1976. He also attended Pines VoTech in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He began his professional career at Stuttgart Municipal Water Works before relocating to Little Rock to work for ObitValve. Additionally, he explored a career in security, ultimately serving as a Captain with Broadway Security in Little Rock at the time of his passing.

Gerry was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed playing spades and dominoes at family gatherings. He was always the life of any party, and he deeply cherished his family.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents Thomas J. Hill, Sr. and Emma M. Coker-Hill; sister Emily Louise Hill-McCoy; and brothers Willie Hill, Roy Earls, Thomas Hill, Jr., John Hill, Hubert Hill, and Otis Hill.

Gerry leaves to cherish his memories his loving and affectionate wife of twenty-two years, Mrs. Agnus “Colleen” Simmons-Hill; children Shandrell Brown, Rochelle (Edward) Moore, Ryan Hill, Kendrall Hill, Torrie (Joey) Achan, Sherrie (Sam) Norwood, Christina (Corey) Jones, Elihu (DiAndra) Steward III, and Katrina Childress; brothers Paul (Kathleen) Hill, Kenneth (Shirley) Hill, Freddie (Theresa) Hill, and Curtis (Debra) Hill, Sr.; sister Joann (Larry) Loudermilk; sisters-in-law Fannie Hill, Joyce Hill, Reatha Hill, and Cynthia Simmons-Bryant; brothers-in-law Alvin Simmons, Jr., John Simmons, and Paul McCoy; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who were loved dearly.
