Fred Williams Obituary

Fred Jasper Williams was born on October 16, 1958, in Stuttgart to Reather Williams and the late Nufice Williams II.

Fred attended the Stuttgart School District. He was a dedicated employee at Producers and Stratton Seed Company, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. At an early age, Fred accepted Christ under the leadership of Elder Earnest Boone in the Church of God in Christ.

Fred lived a full and active life and deeply enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known for his infectious laughter, love of jokes, and playful spirit—often delighting in scaring children by telling them, “I’m Freddy Krueger.” Fred also found great joy in the outdoors. He loved cleaning wild game for people and took pride in working with ducks, deer, fish—anything involving wildlife brought him happiness.

Fred was preceded in death by his father, Nufice Williams II; one sister, Linda Williams Freeman; four brothers, Ricky Williams, Anthony Williams, Elvan Williams, and Sherman Williams; his maternal grandmother, Gustavia Hobbs; and his paternal grandmother, Mae Jane Versey.

Though Fred is no longer with us in the flesh, he will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Reather Williams of Stuttgart, Arkansas; twelve siblings: Nufice Williams of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Rodney (Sharon) Williams; Phillip Williams of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Kelly (Melanie) Williams of Tucker, Arkansas; Denise Cline of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Pamela (Kenneth) McDonald of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Jennifer (Elma) Reeves of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Kimberly (Theodore) Jacko of Little Rock, Arkansas; Greg (Dominique) Williams of Scott, Arkansas; Eric Williams of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Mark Williams of Stuttgart, Arkansas; and Glory (Willie) Hobbs of Little Rock, Arkansas. He also leaves behind three special friends—Glen McCauley, Carl “Baldie” McCastle, and Apostle Victor Johnson—along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who mourn his earthly departure and celebrate a life well lived.
