Flossie Mae Wiley was born on September 24, 1930 to the late Lafayette and Doris Mitchell Johnson in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She was the third of five siblings. Her mother, father, sisters Vivian Jackson and Ernestine Duff, and brother Harold Johnson preceded her in death.
She departed this life in the morning hours on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Arbor Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Malvern, Arkansas at the age of 89 blessed years.
Flossie graduated from Holman High School in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where she played on the Yellow Jackets basketball team. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas and was a member there for many years.
She was united in holy matrimony to Willie Wiley, Jr. and to this union two children were born Robert Wiley and Carl Wiley. She was a renowned traveler via the military. She enjoyed cooking, making pottery, and listening to music.
Flossie leaves to hold and cherish her memories two sons Robert (Sherrion) Wiley of Malvern, AR and Carl (Carolyn) Wiley of Bellwood, IL; grandson Kevin Wiley; sister Richardlean (Robert) Cooks of St. Louis, MO; nieces Carol Tolliver of Oakland, CA, Cheryl Jackson of Chicago, IL, Rhonda Jackson of Chicago, IL, Brenda Austell of St. Louis, MO, Nadine Taylor of Stuttgart, AR, and Linda Jones of Humphrey, AR; nephews Herbert Fitzpatrick of Dallas, TX, Booker Johnson and Milton Taylor, both of Stuttgart, AR; Charles Wayne Johnson of Chicago, IL, Willie Brewer of Little Rock, AR, and Nathaniel Johnson of Memphis, TN ; and a host of other relatives and friends.
