Everlena H. Hobbs, 96, of Stuttgart, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord, December 21, 2018. She was born in Grady, Arkansas on May 1, 1922 to Nora Hatten and Nancy L. Martin. She moved to Altheimer, Arkansas in 1927.
She confessed herself to Christ in August of 1937 at Battles Chapel Baptist Church in Altheimer. She united with First Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart in 1944 under the leadership of Rev. W.M. Wright. She remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home.
She attended Holman High School in 1968-1969. In 1970 she passed the G.E.D. test for a High School Diploma.
She married the love of her life, Kelly Hobbs, on February 20, 1950, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1998.
She leaves to cherish her memories five daughters: Nancy (Odis) Lloyd of Stuttgart, AR, Daisy Jenkins of Stuttgart, AR, Linda McCauley of Hutchinson, KS, Kathy L. Williams of Little Rock, AR, and Valerie J. Colvin of Stuttgart, AR; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and a beloved canine companion “Frankie”, to mourn her passing.
