Earnestine (Sims) Goodlow

Mrs. Earnestine "Jackie" Sims Goodlow was born to the late Willie "Tang" and Rosie Sims on September 18, 1946 in Casscoe, Arkansas.

She attended Immanuel School in Almyra, Arkansas. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ and later united with Holy Benton Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Superintendent Lawrence C. O'Neal.  Earnestine served faithfully in the kitchen/hospitality department whenever her health and strength allowed her. She loved her pastor, first lady and church family.

On December 16, 1968, she married the love of her life Freddie Goodlow. They were married 32 years and to this union, four children were born.

Earnestine worked at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center/Baptist Health for 30 years and retired in 2008.

On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, Earnestine transitioned from earthly sorrow into heavenly peace. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Freddie Goodlow, one son Ervin Green, parents Willie "Tang" and Rosie Sims, three brothers Earnest "Tex" Sims, Kenneth Sims and Willie Sims, and three sisters Yvonne Johnson, Mattie and Georgia Sims.

Earnestine leaves to cherish her precious memories three sons Kenneth "Bo" Sims (Sharon), Freddie "Luke" Green (Glennettra), and Kevin "Rab" Green (Chyronda Smith); six brothers Kelly Bernard Sims, Larry Sims, Raymond Sims (Kathy), David Harold Sims (Tawanna), Cedric Sims and Willis Chambers (Shantail); eight sisters Catherine "Danny" Geans, Helen "Rose" Robinson (Andrew), Wanda "Kay" Sims, Janice Wood (Kevin), Vickie Sims, Angela Garlington (Albert), Darlyn Chambers, and Leatha Mae Sims; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one aunt Erma Johnson Pendelton; a very special granddaughter Brianna Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
