Dwan Criner Obituary

Dwan Anthony Criner was born July 4, 1956 to Mollie Doris Criner in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He attended Stuttgart Public Schools, Class of 1974. Growing up, Dwan loved playing football with his brothers and neighbors. He was given the nickname ‘Motor Head’ because he ran into the player, on the opposite team, with his head knocking him out. Dwan was fun to be around, liked by many, and would give you the shirt off of his back.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age at First Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart.

Dwan worked on the farm, as well as Riceland Foods and Producers. He was a volunteer at Holman Heritage Community Center, where he served food and worked wherever needed.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mollie Doris Criner, sister Marian Barber, brother Thedore Criner, son Michael Lamont McNeil, and special nieces Cynthia Mills and Roshaundra Criner.

Dwan leaves to cherish his memory five children Bridgette Wiley, Janice McNeil, Erma (Columbus) Osby, Kizzy McNeil, and Dwan McNeil, all of Stuttgart, AR; six brothers Calvin (Bronwyn) Criner, Michael Criner, and Leonardo (Bridgett) Criner, all of Little Rock, AR, James White of California, Charles (Willa) White of Pine Bluff, AR, and Alonzo Criner of Apopka, FL; three sisters Joyce (Fred) Washington of Little Rock, AR, Renea Criner of Stuttgart, AR, and Kimberly Humphrey of Conway, AR; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
