Demetrice Guydon Obituary

Demetrice Guydon was born on April 7, 1943, to the proud parents George Jeffery, Sr. and Girstine Toney Jeffery. Demetrice was the third biological child born to this union. She transitioned into the arms of the Father on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

She accepted Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost at a very young age. A woman of unwavering faith, she dedicated her life to the service of the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother, self-taught master seamstress and well known for her hospitality and generous spirit.

Demetrice attended and graduated from Immanuel High School in 1962. She later went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Dewitt Technical School (now Philips Community College) in Dewitt, Arkansas. She became an Independent Direct Sales Director in the Sovereign House, Princess House, and Park Lane companies, where she was nationally acknowledged many times for top sales and regional growth. After retiring from Direct Sales, she became co-owner of Dew Baby’s Restaurant alongside her nine sisters. Demetrice played a pivotal role in publishing 'Ten Sisters,' an inspiring autobiography that chronicles her family’s extraordinary journey of being raised on an Almyra farm.

She met and married the late Elder Clarence Guydon in 1962. To this union were born five amazing children. Together they devoted over 50 years to the Lord’s service including Pastor and First Lady of the Mt. Calvary C.O.G.I.C. of Casscoe, Arkansas, and in various capacities within the Arkansas Northeast First Jurisdiction, District #5, and the Ebenezer (renamed Helena - West Helena) District.

Holt-Peoples, Rosie Lee Holt-Toliver, Earnestine Holt, Juanita Owens, Betty Watkins, Lavarange Davis-Hankins, and Hattie Holt; and brothers: Arthur Holt, George Jeffery, Jr., and Freddie Lee ‘FH’ Holt.
