Mr. Brayshawn “Mista” Wiley was born on January 20, 2004 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Courtney Batts, Darren Threets, Sr., and Clarence B. Wiley, Jr. He departed from his Earthly life on March 12, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Brayshawn attended England Public School, where he played football. He attended Little Rock Schools: McClellan School and Southwest High School, where he played basketball. He was an honor graduate, Class of 2022. As part of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program, he was accepted at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to major in Mechanical Engineering.

Brayshawn was a very lovable, joyable and playful young man, who enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. 

Brayshawn was preceded by his paternal grandfather Clarence Brodie “Big Sarge” Wiley, paternal great-grandparents Carey Batts, Jr. and Curtistine Williams, maternal great-grandparents Leslie (Sonny Boy) and Mary Jean Nichols, great-aunt Ellery “Elvira” Polk, special cousins Calvin “CG” Smith, Jr., Yolanda Michelle Smith Anthony, and LaKendra Oglesby, and a special classmate who he called his birthday twin, Natyia Roberson.

Brayshawn leaves to cherish his mother Courtney Batts and father Clarence B. Wiley, Jr., both of Little Rock, AR; nine brothers Braylin Thompkins and Andrew Parker, both of Little Rock, AR, Antonio Dresha’un (Khenedye) Wiley, Nicolas Jacob Wiley, Amond Gulley, Ethan Rose, Landen Thomas, J.T. Sisson, and Darren Threets, Jr.; a brother from another mother Emarrious McCree; six sisters Roniya Johnson and Ayesha Smiley, both of Little Rock, AR, Brianna Ari Wiley, Julia Raye Wiley, Amaya Kemp, and Tasha Threets; his grandparents Clarence (Sonny) and Rose Batts, Ms. Daisy Threets, and Patricia (Jackie) Edwards, all of Stuttgart, AR; twelve aunts Nadia Batts, Toyla Holmes, Felecia Allen, Karren Threets, and Tandra Jones, all of Stuttgart, AR, Katrina Adams, Pamela Owens, and Stacy Hicks, all of Little Rock, AR, Shanta Carroll of Texas, Angie Owens (Eric) of Marvell, AR, Crystal Savage of Chicago, IL, and Kesha Thomeson of Indianna; twelve uncles Antwuan Batts and Jackie Edwards, Jr., both of Stuttgart, AR; Ladell (Victoria) Batts of Fort Smith, AR, Deshawn Shatswell of Colorado, Robbie Edwards, Torvac (Tasha) Amos, Farrad Muhammad Amos, Austin Wiley, and Josh Wiley, all of Little Rock, AR, Anthony Edwards of Irving, TX, Corrie (Shaun) Wiley of Sherwood, AR, and Kyrian Peters of Fayetteville, AR; and other relatives and friends.
