Mr. Credill “Pete” Minter departed his earthly life and entered eternal life on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Credill was born February 17, 1941 in Grady, Arkansas to Sammie and Gussie Cutts Minter.
He attended the Grady Public Schools. Credill was married to Gladys Keith Minter. The Lord blessed them with six children whom he loved dearly.
Credill confessed a hope for Christ in 1955 at New Baptist Church in Grady. Whenever he talked about his conversion, he would get very emotional. He said it was a day he would never forget. He later joined the New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where he remained a faithful member. Credill was an active member of the church. He was the President of the Trustee Board, member of the Sons of Allen, member of the General Bethel Choir, and the Chairman of Men’s Day.
He had a long work history. He was a part of the construction crew, who helped build by-products so there would be places to store rice hulls, bran and chicken feed. Credill continued to work at what is now known as the Co-Products Department of Riceland Foods for forty years, until he retired.
Credill had a heart for giving and would help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys, parents Sammie and Gussie Minter, brothers Cleophis Minter and Howard Minter, and infant twin brother and sister Issac Minter and Rebecca Minter.
