“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
Craig Lamont Conway was granted his angel wings on July 12, 2019. In his final hours he was surrounded by his family and close friends. He took his last breath with all of his children by his side. Craig was born October 24, 1976 to Ollie and Helen Wright Conway in Brinkley, Arkansas.
He graduated in 1995 from Cotton Plant High School. Shortly after, he took a job dredging the Arkansas River. Craig then realized that working on the waters with his brothers was his true love. He worked tirelessly as a deck hand and boat operator for many years. He also loved fast cars and expensive clothing.
Craig is preceded in death by his parents Ollie and Helen Conway, sister Barbara Hussey, and brother Ronald Conway.
Craig leaves to cherish his memories his wife Shawanda Phillips Conway and three daughters Stormy Conway, Kamori Conway and Brandasia Miller; four sons and one daughter (by Tangelia Loving) Daylon Conway, Ontario Conway, Dillon Conway, Craig Conway, Jr., and Imari Conway; five brothers Fredrick Conway, Wendell Conway, Lawrence (Katanya) Conway, Bryan (Tanya) Conway, and Micheal Leachman; four sisters Anita (Arthur) Burks, Evonne (John) McFarland, Lisa Conway, and Theresa (Clarence) Fields; one beautiful granddaughter Ta’liyah Wofford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
