Cleveland James Horton was born on July 17, 1949, to the late Robert Horton and Beatrice Hill in Wabbaseka, Arkansas.
He gave his life to Christ and attended Victors’ Empowerment Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas, under the leadership of Apostle Victor E. Johnson.
Affectionately known as “Wabbaseka”, Cleveland departed this life on March 31, 2025
He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice Hill and Robert Horton; brothers Thomas Fairow, Jr. and Johnny Fairow; and sisters Mamie Smith, Blanche Geans, Karen Horton, Mattie Keaton, and Dovie Holt.
Cleveland “Wabbaseka” Horton is survived by his children Patricia (Herman) Jackson, Charles Smith, Cleveland Dixon, and Demetrius Miles; his sisters Dorothy Kelly of Arlington, TX, Deloris Bray and Brenda Morning, both of Little Rock, AR, Rosemary Horton of Brooklyn Center, MN, and Janet Horton of St. Paul, MN ; his brothers Calvin Horton of Little Rock, AR, Clinton (Cathy) Horton of Plymouth, MN, and Floyd Fairow of Stuttgart, AR.
He also leaves to cherish his memory five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
