Cleo Tajuan “Tune” Avery was born on January 31, 1978 to Cleo and Reatha Turentine Avery.
He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator from an early age, until his health failed him. He was baptized at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Roe, Arkansas.
Cleo departed this life on October 30, 2020 at Baptist Health Medical Center North Little Rock surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his father Cleo Avery and granddaughter Rosalia Garcia.
Cleo leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife DeWanna Hancock-Avery; one loving daughter Kiessa Garcia (Ce’sar); two sons Latruan Avery and Tyreg Avery; grandchildren Damian, Jocelyn, Marisol and Amalia Garcia; mother Mrs. Retha Turentine Avery; brothers Kenneth Avery (Cheryl), Kenneth D. Avery (Cher), and Reginald Avery (Gladys); sister Nekisha Avery (Ricky); mother-in-law Mae Willie Nichols Hancock; father-in-law Jammie Hancock (Valla); step-children LaTasha Hancock and Antonio Tolliver; step-grandchildren LaZaraiah, LaLadon, Antonio, Amory, Brityn, Lane, Aryn and KaSynce; aunts Tena Byrd, Rosixe Smith, Patricia Wofford, Beatrice Avery, Belinda Avery, Loretta Geiggar, Lucille Hayes and Rita Ticey; uncle Kenneth Avery; brothers-in-law Jimmie Hancock Jr. (Lisa), Jevon Baggett and Jecora Mackel; sisters-in-law Carolyn Williams, Savannah Fluker (Michael), Venita Hancock, Kimberly Hancock and Kryshundra Hancock; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
