Mr. Charlie Ice was born August 31, 1951 to the late Floyd Ice, Sr. and Annie Mae Ice. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Elizabeth Ice and Alice Faye Ice, his brother Floyd Ice Jr, his sister Phyllis Ice Foster, his son Charles L. Ice and granddaughter Charlesia Ice.
Charlie attended Holman School and developed a love for playing the bass guitar. He began playing at an early age and eventually mastered it enough to travel and play with his brothers. He often played in the night clubs and churches. Charlie loved that guitar and often took it with him everywhere he went. He also served his country and enlisted in the Marine Corp.
Charlie grew up in church and attended faithfully, often encouraging his children to attend with him. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and he loved hanging out at the casinos. Charlie was no stranger and made many friends in Omaha, Nebraska, Stuttgart, Little Rock, and other cities within Arkansas.
Sickness began taking a toll and hit him a few years ago. He continued to fight until he grew tired and took his last breath in the early morning hours of Monday, November 9, 2020.
Charlie leaves behind to forever cherish his memories: his wife Ruby Cooper Ice, his children Sherry Wright Carpenter (Mark), Charles Amos (Kiral), Erica Ice Akbar (Jameel), Candi Ice, Mandrell Ice, Isaac Ice, Damon Daniels, Corey London (Renee), LaKeisha Faye Ice, Derrick McDowell (Quanisha) and Samuel T.
